open loop current sensor
The open-loop current sensor is a non-contact current detection device based on the Hall effect. It indirectly obtains the current value by measuring the magnetic field strength generated by the current. Its technical features include wide-band response (up to 1MHz), high isolation voltage (up to several thousand volts) , but the accuracy (usually 1%-3%) is slightly lower than that of the closed-loop solution. Typical applications include photovoltaic inverters, industrial frequency converters, UPS power supplies and smart grids, and are particularly suitable for systems with large currents (up to 2000A), cost sensitivity and high real-time requirements.

The closed-loop current sensor is based on the zero flux balance principle. It offsets the primary current magnetic field through the feedback coil to achieve high accuracy (0.1%~1%) and low temperature drift. Its technical features include wide bandwidth (up to 500kHz), fast response and excellent linearity, but the structure is complex and the cost is high. It is mainly used in high-performance inverters, servo drives, medical equipment, precision power supplies and other fields that have strict requirements on accuracy and dynamic characteristics.
